The 10 Best Squarespace Designers in the UK (2026)

If you’ve searched for a Squarespace designer in the UK, you’ll have noticed that every list is written by a designer, and every designer puts themselves first. This one is no different, so let’s get that out of the way: I’m Nick, I run Design by Ency, and I’m number one on my own list. What I can offer instead of false modesty is a list where every name is a real, working UK Squarespace designer with public reviews, a current site and a track record I’d be happy to put my own name next to.
Each entry has the same five things, because they’re the five things you actually need when you’re choosing: who they are, what they do, what it costs, where they are, and the link. Prices are taken from each designer’s own website at the time of writing and will change, so treat them as a starting point and confirm with the person.
How I picked the ten
- UK-based, with a published address or region, so you know the time zone, the tax and the law you’re dealing with.
- Squarespace is their main platform, not one option on a menu of twelve.
- Public proof: Squarespace Circle membership or Expert status, named client work you can click through to, and reviews you can read.
- Still taking clients. Several well-known names have moved to templates or courses only, so they’re not here.
The 10 best Squarespace designers in the UK
🏆1. Nick Croce, Design by Ency
Surprise, surprise: I picked myself first. Let me explain. I’m a Squarespace website designer in Liverpool, and over the past six years I’ve designed and built more than 250 Squarespace websites for businesses across the UK, the US and beyond, as a Squarespace Circle Platinum Partner and a recommended expert on the Squarespace Marketplace. Unlike most studios at this level, I do the work myself: I’m not an agency, so you work directly with me from the first call to launch, with no handing your project to a junior once the contract is signed. And you choose the model: a custom Squarespace website built and handed over for you to run, or a site I build and then look after for you every month, so it keeps getting better instead of quietly going out of date.
Platinum Partner credentials with no agency between you and the designer, and a monthly option where the site is built and run for you.

2. Sam Crawford, by Crawford
by Crawford is a Liverpool Squarespace agency founded by Sam Crawford in 2019, and it holds the full set of credentials: official Squarespace Expert, Enterprise Partner and Circle Community Leader. The team has delivered more than 700 websites for clients from venture capital firms to MedTech companies and names like Matt D’Avella and the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Sam also mentors other Squarespace designers through his community, The Margin, and is one of the most visible voices in the UK Squarespace world. If you want a premium, enterprise-grade Squarespace build with serious custom code and a full team behind it, this is the agency you call.
Enterprise scale: 700-plus sites, Enterprise Partner status and the custom code to match, for projects too big for a solo designer.

3. Dylan Winn-Brown, SpaceWorks
Dylan founded SpaceWorks in 2018 after a client asked for a site on Squarespace instead of WordPress, and never went back. It’s now a fully remote, official Squarespace Expert agency with a team of eight designers, developers and SEO specialists, over 500 sites delivered and more than 100 five-star Google reviews. The sweet spot is businesses that want an agency’s capacity and a Squarespace specialist’s speed: fintech, hospitality, health and e-commerce all feature in the portfolio, and they take on white-label work for other agencies too.
An eight-person remote team with more than 100 five-star reviews, so you get agency capacity at Squarespace-specialist speed, and white-label work if you’re an agency yourself.

4. Dave Hawkins, Made by Dave
Dave has been working exclusively on Squarespace since 2014 and holds the full set of credentials the platform issues: official Squarespace Expert, Circle Community Leader and Authorised Trainer, plus the role of Squarespace London Lead Community Partner, one of only a handful worldwide. Made by Dave has built more than 650 bespoke sites and leans towards enterprises and growing brands, with audits, accessibility and compliance work and a Designer for a Day option alongside full builds. He also runs Squarehead, a training business for people who want to learn the platform properly.
Nobody on this list holds more Squarespace credentials, and accessibility and compliance work is a proper service here rather than an afterthought.

5. Emily Lewis, TwoFold
Emily came to web design from marketing, first at an agency and then in-house, and founded TwoFold to fix the thing she kept seeing: businesses sending traffic to websites that couldn’t convert it. TwoFold is a Squarespace Platinum Partner and was named Best Affordable Design Studio at the Welsh Enterprise Awards 2025. Every build pairs the website with SEO and marketing thinking, and there’s a monthly marketing package for clients who want the growth handled as well as the site. A strong choice if your budget is tighter but you still want the strategy.
The strongest value on the list for a tight budget: an award-winning studio that pairs every build with SEO from £1,799.

6. Ian Masters, olio creative
Ian has run olio creative since 2012, alongside 18 years working in the UK charity sector, and that background still shapes who the studio is for: charities, schools, membership bodies, therapists, public sector organisations and growing businesses across the UK. He’s a Squarespace Circle Platinum Partner and Marketplace Expert with 200-plus sites delivered, and olio creative also covers brand identity and graphic design, so a small organisation can get the whole thing from one place. There’s a free Squarespace audit for UK charities, which tells you a lot about where his heart is.

7. Ruth Gaunt
Ruth is a Squarespace Circle Platinum Partner in London who builds websites for small and solo business owners in a single day, designing one or two sites a week. Her whole model is speed without the agency overhead: you do the prep with her guidance, she builds it live in a day, half a day or a week depending on the package, and you leave with a finished site. Fixed prices, deposits and payment plans are all spelled out on her site, which is rarer than it should be.

Her Local Visibility plan is the thing to look at if you’re a local business that needs to show up on Google Maps and in AI search, not just on a nice homepage.

10. Elizabeth Ellery
Liz trained in fashion design and spent ten years with a London fashion brand that sold everywhere from Selfridges to Saks Fifth Avenue, picking up personal branding, website design and email marketing along the way. She then swapped London for the Cotswolds and turned all of that into a brand and Squarespace website studio for coaches and service-based business owners, with more than 100 of them launched so far. She also hosts the Website Designer Summit, an online event for Squarespace designers whose 2026 line-up included Dave Hawkins, Sam Crawford and Kerstin Martin, and sells her own Squarespace templates for the do-it-yourself crowd. Expect a warm, personality-first brand rather than a corporate one.
A decade in fashion shows in the brand work, and hosting the Website Designer Summit makes her as plugged into the Squarespace designer world as anyone here.

| Elizabeth Ellery | From £2,500 (Cotswolds package), £6,500 (full package) | Cotswolds |
A rough rule for the whole UK market, from the figures above: a one-page site or a design day sits around £950 to £1,500, a full custom build of around five pages runs from about £1,500 to £3,500 with a freelancer, and agency-level builds start around £3,500 to £5,000 and go well past that for enterprise work. Two of the designers above price in US dollars because much of their work is international; the pound figures land in the same bands.
Worth knowing beyond the UK
Four names that don’t qualify for the ten, because they aren’t in the UK, but that I’d be doing you a disservice to leave out. All four work remotely, and their pricing is in US dollars.

How to choose between them
Start with the model, not the portfolio. Do you want to run the site yourself afterwards, or would you rather someone else did? That one answer rules half the list in or out. Then look at who each designer builds for: Clare’s work is for creatives and wellness businesses, Sam and Dave lean enterprise, Emily is strongest where marketing matters as much as design, and SpaceWorks suits anyone who wants an agency team behind a specialist. I’ve written a longer guide on how to choose a Squarespace website designer, including the questions to ask on the first call.
And if you’d like to talk to the one at the top of the list, book a free call. No pitch, just a straight answer on whether I’m the right fit, and a name from this list if I’m not.
Questions people ask
How much does a Squarespace designer cost in the UK?
From the prices above: roughly £950 to £1,500 for a one-page site or a design day, £1,500 to £3,500 for a full custom build with a freelancer, and £3,500 to £5,000 or more with an agency. Monthly models, where the designer builds the site and then runs it for you, start around £150 a month, though those are usually custom-coded rather than Squarespace.
What do Circle, Expert and Platinum Partner mean?
Squarespace Circle is the platform’s programme for professionals who build sites for clients. Members are tiered by how many sites they’ve launched: Silver, then Gold, then Platinum, which is the highest tier and means the designer has launched a lot of Squarespace sites, not just a few. Squarespace Expert is a separate, vetted status for a smaller group, and the Marketplace lists designers Squarespace itself recommends. None of them guarantee a good website, but Platinum in particular guarantees the designer has done this many, many times before.
Do I need a designer near me?
No. Every designer on this list works remotely, and most have clients abroad. What a UK designer gives you is the same working hours, UK-aware copy and SEO, and someone who understands UK pricing, VAT and the law around cookies and accessibility. Meeting in person is a bonus, not a requirement.
